The Federal Center for the Development of Exports of Agro-Industrial Products (FGBU Agroexport) published a report on development of export potential of agro-industrial products in 2021.
"Despite the current sanctions and restrictions against Russia, Kuban producers continue to work on foreign markets. Our wines and agricultural products are becoming more and more popular on the world trade floors and have proved their supreme quality and competitiveness. The Krasnodar region is increasing its export potential as one of the key drivers for the development of the industry. In 2021, the export of the Kuban agro-industrial complex amounted to $3.5 billion. And since the beginning of this year has already exceeded $2.3 billion," said Veniamin Kondratiev.
The head of the region noted that the major directions of supply of Kuban products are Transcaucasia, the Middle East, Turkey, North Africa, India, and China. The region also successfully sells meat and dairy products, confectionery, and wines. There is a massive export growth of sunflower, rapeseed and linseed oil.
